DACHSER platform is honored with the Annual Multimedia Award
The DACHSER platform receives the prestigious Annual Multimedia Award in silver in the Digital Services category: Apps, Tools & Voice User Interfaces etc. The award confirms that the digital customer platform meets and in some cases exceeds all basic requirements in terms of user-friendliness, design and stability. With this award, the DACHSER platform also receives external recognition that it meets DACHSER's strict security and quality standards.
Cornelius Kubik, Department Head DACHSER platform, and Regina Puls, Lead User Research & Strategy at Ray Sono, present the Annual Multimedia Award together with the DACHSER platform team.
Lars Relitz, who is responsible for the DACHSER platform as Head of Corporate Digital Innovation & Development, summarizes the significance of the award for the project as follows: "The award is a clear indicator for us that we are on the right track." For the first time, a digital platform integrates all of DACHSER's business areas into a modern, user-friendly customer interface. "The DACHSER platform is innovative with its cross-modal view from the customer user's perspective. Its intuitive user interface is easy to understand and can be adapted to individual needs," adds Lars Relitz.
The DACHSER platform is recognized as one of the best digital services of 2023
The Annual Multimedia Award, which is organized by Walhalla u. Praetoria Verlag GmbH & Co. KG and presented by a jury of independent experts, has been honoring creative solutions, innovative ideas and business models in the digital space since 1996. Sylvia Rockmann, Project Manager at partner agency Ray Sono, is delighted with the expert vote: "The award recognizes outstanding digital projects that set trends, especially in terms of user experience, and are considered current best cases. In addition to real customer feedback, the platform also receives confirmation from experts."
Following the project launch a year and a half ago, the first version of the DACHSER platform with a basic range of functions has been live since August 2023 and is already being actively used by air freight export customers in their day-to-day business. Over the course of 2024, the DACHSER platform will be successively expanded in order to digitally map the logistics service provider's entire range of services and make them available in an integrated manner.
Consequences of adverse weather conditions in Spain

Road Transport:
Difficulties in distribution activities throughout the week, mainly throughout Madrid
Restrictions on access to industrial estates due to accumulation of snow and vehicles
Difficulties in collections, deliveries and shipments to other delegations. Journeys to and from Madrid may suffer significant delays
Traffic restrictions for heavy vehicles (partially open on some roads)
Temporary reduction of long-distance routes between delegations
Air Transport:
MAD airport starts operating slowly but suffers long delays due to canceled flights
Handling personnel are severely restricted and therefore air cargo operations start to run very slowly
Customs operations are giving priority to express shipments

DACHSER stays on course and expands its global network
After the economic boom in logistics resulting from the coronavirus pandemic and worldwide disruption to supply chains, normalcy returned to the industry in 2023. DACHSER was among those whose financial year was marked by weak demand for logistics services in the face of significant overcapacity and a sharp decline in air and sea freight rates.
In logistics, the pandemic is making dispatch processes more complex, especially for sea freight. As Ocean Freight LCL Manager Asia Pacific, Carolin Choy sees these challenges as opportunities. Luckily, she has a hobby that helps her.
Due to the ongoing disruption of the sea freight market, the after-effects (container shortages and frequent port congestion) continue to impact global supply chains. Below, we provide an update on all developments to minimize potential disruptions to your business.
