Guangzhou is China’s largest and most prosperous city in the south and has an important seaport for foreign trade. It lies in the tropic region and has no real winter. The flowers are in blossom the whole year, that’s why the city is also called “the city of flowers”. China’s greatest export fair, the Canton Fair, takes places twice a year in Guangzhou, which is also called Canton.
